This month, our young adults were lucky enough to enjoy the beautiful September weather outdoors on Stonor Farm at their debut Charity Farm Day, in aid of the Chiltern Centre.
Megan, from our care staff team, recounts the trip for us:
Our day at Stonor Farm was a happy and beautiful day. The sun was shining, there were lots for the people we support and staff to get stuck in to and the staff there were incredibly helpful.
When we arrived, we were welcomed and offered drinks, shown around and introduced. Some of us went and did some sunflower painting whilst the others made some beaded bracelets. The lady from the painting station- ‘The Paint Lab’- was very kind, chatty and helpful. She showed us the ideas and we sat in the shade, chatted to the other families that attended and painted away!

Our staff loved The Paint Lab too!
The Carr family at Stonor farm went above and beyond in helping our service users access the trailer tractor ride so that they could go up to the sunflower field. Chloe in particular loved this ride and her smile was beaming all day.

They also had different tractors and farm machinery for us to look at which Tyler loved, he was so excited when we were showing them to him, he also loved the tractor ride too.

All in all, we all had a brilliant day and everyone who attended loved it. We’ve had a lot of parents who attended with their families say how lovely it was too. Thank you to everyone at Stonor Farm!
