Absolutely loves attending
Waqas absolutely loves attending the Chiltern Centre. Staff go above and beyond to ensure his needs are attended to and give him as much choice as possible. His dignity is respected and he supported well with his personal care. Waqas accesses a number of activities, he particularly enjoys two sessions of swimming per week. Knowing he is in safe hands, gives my mother (his primary carer) a vital break. We love the Chiltern Centre and we love what it stands for.

Where do I start?
From the minute I walked in to visit the Chiltern Centre I knew this was going to be the perfect placement for Harrison.
From the friendliness of all the staff, to the centre set up itself.
I had complete faith that Harrison would be embraced for who he is and I wasn’t wrong.
He can not wait to get there for each visit, (sometimes not a good thing when it means he wants to get ready to go at silly o’clock in the morning!).
His confidence has improved noticeably, he walks taller and is learning so many life skills.
Things some people would take for granted like being able to sit for a longer period when out in a restaurant to being willing to try new things.
He is given so many different opportunities out in the community, and interaction with others young adults, experiences that we as a family can not always give to him.
The sense of peace we have as we drop him off knowing he is safe, well looked after and most of all that he is so happy is invaluable.
Not only does Harrison benefit from The Chiltern Centre but we do too as we can once again go out as a couple. We even get a full nights sleep, which in turn gives us the energy for when Harrison comes home.
We can not praise the staff enough for how they have changed our lives.
