Payroll Giving…Help children every month of the year

Payroll giving is a quick, hassle-free way to support The Chiltern Centre by making regular donations from your pay and because donations are made before tax is deducted, it is one of the most tax efficient ways of supporting the centre. This means that a monthly donation of £10 straight out of your payroll, actually only costs you £7.80 or £6 for higher rate tax payers.

You authorise your employer to deduct an amount regularly from your pay. You can give any amount and can change or stop your donation at any time by giving your payroll department one month’s notice.

Payroll giving is a vital source of income for The Chiltern Centre as this regular funding
enables us to plan and budget our future activity.

What you should do: If you would like to make a difference, simply ask your Payroll Department if they already operate a payroll-giving scheme and, if so, how you sign up.  If not, then ask if they could set one up by contacting Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

To find out more about supporting The Chiltern Centre through Payroll Giving please contact Jane Ainslie on 01491 575575 or email jane@chilterncentre.org.uk

Sponsorship
As a responsible charity, we are constantly working to minimise our costs. Sponsorship of our events, projects and publications for example our newsletter helps us to do that.

We organise and take part in a number of events throughout the year and we're always looking for company sponsorship. Our key events in 2012 are:
- Golf day
- Ladies Lunch
- Challenge walk

We have challenges to suit most tastes and from one off activities to an ongoing commitment. We also have events throughout the whole year we need volunteers to help with including sporting events, dinners and quiz nights.

Questions to consider:

  • How many people would you want to take part?
  • What skills does the team have?
  • What would you like to achieve?
  • What is your budget both in terms of cost and time?

To make the most of your team's time out of the office we would hold a team meeting before to plan the project.

In-kind Support

Offers of printing, envelope stuffing and postage are also welcome as are donations of auction and raffle prizes.
