This means that a monthly donation of £10 straight out of your payroll, actually only costs you £7.80 or £6 for higher rate tax payers. You authorise your employer to deduct an amount regularly from your pay. You can give any amount and can change or stop your donation at any time by giving your payroll department one month’s notice. Payroll giving is a vital source of income for The Chiltern Centre as this regular funding What you should do: If you would like to make a difference, simply ask your Payroll Department if they already operate a payroll-giving scheme and, if so, how you sign up. If not, then ask if they could set one up by contacting Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
