Outreach and Residential Disability Service
Through the Chiltern Centre, we have the skills to help families caring for a disabled child cope with daily challenges at home, enable children to lead more independent lives and give indispensable practical support to carers. Our Outreach and Residential Disability Service provides families with support when they need it through a team of qualified professionals.
What underpins our domiciliary care service is the way we take an holistic approach to supporting families. Always offering an individual service, we support parents of disabled children in countless ways.
From introducing the young person and family to our services, to building a bond of trust with keyworkers or staff before accessing support away from home, we assist families overcome issues they most need help with.
Dependent on the young person, this might be the only service the family receives from us, or combined with care at the centre. Support could range from helping with a sleeping or eating routine, for example, to developing strategies in the community, or being there during an emergency on an ad-hoc basis.
